- lemon juice- when you are making lemonade use only fresh squeezed lemon juice.

If good strawberries are hard to find you can use frozen strawberries. I recommend using whole strawberries and letting them defrost some. Then add the juice that melted + strawberries to pan.
How To Make Strawberry Lemonade
Step One: Make a simple syrup. and yes it is as simple as the name implies.
- in a sauce pan add sugar
- water
- stir, bring to boil and remove from heat.
- store in an air tight container. Let cool while preparing other ingredients.
- Wash and slice your strawberries in half.
- Then in a medium sauce pan add sugar, lemon juice, water and strawberries.
Prepare your Strawberries
Wash and cut your strawberries. Removing the stems. You can throw them into the blender whole or sliced. Blend until it is completely smooth.
If desired strain in a fine mesh strainer.

2. Pour in your fresh lemon juice
3. Pour the entire mixture of simple syrup in.
4. Finish with 3-5 cups ice cold water.
PROTIP: start with about 3 cups of ice water. If you feel you would like your lemonade less sweet than add 1 cup at a time. Remember the ice will melt and also dilute the flavor.

Ingredients
Simple Syrup
- 1.5 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
Strawberry lemonade
- 1.5 cups lemon juice freshly squeezed
- 2 cups blended strawberries strained if desired
- 3-5 cold water or sparkling water chilled
- sliced lemons and strawberries for garnish
Instructions
Simple Syrup
In a small sauce pan add sugar, 2 cups water. Bring to a boil, stirring often. When sugar is dissolved and mixture is clear set aside and let cool.
Strawberry Lemonade
Cut stems, and wash strawberries.
Blend strawberries in blender until completely smooth. Strain in a mesh strainer if desired.
In a large pitcher add strawberry puree, simple syrup, lemon juice. Stir till combined. Add three cups ice cold water. If desired add more water to taste.
Serve over ice, garnish with lemons and strawberries.

I love the idea of making strawberry syrup! How far in advance do you recommend making this? I am hosting a party and would rather do things a couple nights or more beforehand if possible, to avoid rushing the night before! Thank you!

Hi Rose! If you keep the syrup refrigerated in a air tight container it will last for 2 weeks in the fridge before you mix it with water!.
